DMA SYSTEMS ENGINEER STAFF POSITION DESCRIPTION - The candidate will work as a core team member and system technology expert. In particular, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading security systems engineering efforts in order to achieve government certification and accreditation for the existing network systems in several international sites in Europe and Asia. The candidate will be required to adhere to security requirements and mandates to maintain the security posture of the network architecture in collaboration with other network, security, and systems engineers. The successful candidate will interface extensively with and coordinate with customer counterparts/stakeholders to ensure that key security architectural constructs are understood. This position is a contract position with the Dept. of Defense, Enterprise Operations Support Team.
This position will require the individual to provide troubleshooting support to a user community employing computer systems and networks. Candidate may serve as team leader in operations to lead computer installations and customer support teams. They will be required to diagnose and resolve complex computer, hardware, and software problems.
The individual shall answer and document all calls placed to the helpdesk, as well as attempt to resolve the issues that are presented using tools made available. If resolution is not able to take place over the phone, a coordinated hand off of the ticket and all relevant information will take place to the next tier of support. All calls answered are recorded and dialogue is documented using the Remedy Action Request System. Other duties include new system rollouts, software upgrades, and testing.
